50 Days Until the National Development Summit
In fifty days’ time members from the wider rugby community will descend upon Denver to hear from some of the biggest and brightest names in Global, and American Rugby, as part of the three day National Development Summit (NDS). Denver will play host to USA Rugby’s annual conference where some of the leading thinkers in the world of rugby come to educate, elaborate and explain to attendees the finer points of a diverse range of subjects applicable to: players, coaches, administrators and referees. The first wave of speakers was released last week, headlined by the new USA Eagles Men’s XVs Head Coach, Gary Gold. Gold will be joined by Six members of the Women’s Eagles World Cup Squad that finished 4th in 2017’s World Cup, including team captain Tiffany Faaee. The second wave of speakers will be released in the next ten days.
The NDS is not only a time for rugby enthusiasts to learn more about the game they love it is also a time where USA Rugby celebrates the best of the best in American rugby, as the Coach of the Year and Referee of the Year are presented. Nominations for these prestigious awards can be submitted online. Be quick, though, as nominations close on the 1st of December. From there a selection panel will review the nominations and a winner for each category will be drawn, and the winner’s will be presented at the Banquet on the 20th of January 2018.
