Attend the National Team NASC with Emerging Coach Development Program

LAFAYATTE, Colo. – Coaches interested in learning the ins and outs of how national teams are run can apply for a unique Emerging Coach Development Program (ECDP) conducted by USA Rugby Coach Development staff and members of the Women’s Eagles coaching staff.

Consisting of online webinars building up to the National All-Star Competition (NASC) in Tigertown, Fla., at the end of the year, the ECDP offers individuals the opportunity to gain first-hand experience with international athletes and the training environment therein.

The webinars will be interactive, requiring small group work between coaches and the national team staff under the instruction of Pete Steinberg. Upon completion of the webinars, coaches will be prepared to put into action the techniques learned with more than 200 athletes at the NASC. The development of the coaches will be supported by a team of advisors working to identify strengths and weaknesses, setting goals, and giving feedback.

Though travel arrangements to and from the NASC are up to the individual coaches, all costs while at the NASC – either Dec. 26 to Jan. 1 or Dec. 29 to Jan. 3 – are covered in the $900 registration fee.
