Injury Update for Men's Eagle Joe Taufete'e
DUBLIN, IRE. – During the Men’s Eagles match with No. 2 Ireland last evening, USA hooker Joe Taufete’e was taken off the field following a head injury.
Taufete’e was then brought to the hospital where all testing came back negative. The Eagle will continue to be monitored through the week in accordance with gradual return to play protocol.
USA Rugby and the U.S. Men’s National Team extend their gratitude to the medical staff who immediately sprung into action to attend to Taufete’e; as well as to the many support staff with the Irish Rugby Football Union.
The United States men fell to Ireland 57-14 following the conclusion to their November Internationals 2018. Marking the finale of the most historic season of all time for the Men’s Eagles, the USA men will next return in February for the Americas Rugby Championship 2019 as preparation for Rugby World Cup Japan comes full swing.
