2019 RCT Bidding Process Now Open

USA Rugby has opened the bidding process to host the 2019 Regional Cup Tournaments (RCTs). The RCTs are the premier showcase for High School Rugby Players. They act as a valuable resource for athletes to meet and interact with college coaches and recruiters; it also serves as the certified pathway to the USA Rugby High School All American teams. Applications to host the RCTs will be open until November 30, 2018.

“The RCTs act as a valuable resource to the youth level of rugby,” said USA Rugby’s Special Project Manager, Alicia Allen. “Over the years the RCTs have continued to grow and develop as we’ve had the opportunity to work with amazing hosts. We greatly look forward to continuing its advancement with the 2019 hosts.”

The RCTs will be hosted in the window spanning from the last week of May 2019 through to the middle of July 2019. The competition tiers include Boys and Girls Tier 2 and Boys and Girls Tier 1.  Further, hosts may also offer tournaments for Middle School and U20 tiers. While the number of teams may vary in each tier, each competition must satisfy the need for Girls and Boys Tiers 1 and 2 before offering the additional tiers of competition.
