The AIG Men’s Collegiate All-Americans are in Australia on their Tour to Queensland sponsored by WellDog. They will play three matches in the span of eight days before returning home. The following is a blog post from one of the All-Americans on tour, Chad Gough of University of Utah.
On the eve of our first game of the tour the boys are really coming together as a team. We are getting the feel of how each other play and I personally am excited to play with them all. Today we took it back a bit physically, but not mentally. First thing in the morning we split up into forwards and backs, the forwards went over lineouts, and made sure we got them down pat! After that we made sure we had a good breakfast to make sure we are fueling our bodies. Later on we went to the Willow gym and got a bit of sweat on as well as a pool session. Later on in the day we had a training session. We went over defending the set pieces and field territory.
After practice we had the great pleasure of going to The Spotted Cow, a great place to eat with a better atmosphere. We had a great time and were grateful for the food!
The boys are itching to get out on the field and play against an opposition! We have a bunch of major athletes on this team, as we come to work as a team we will be able to do amazing things!
